Mr. Eldridge N. Cook was a renowned business man both known locally and across the state for his work in the seafood industry, creating jobs, and expanding the seafood trade. Mr. Cook’s impact was keenly felt in as a leader in the Gloucester community, through his philanthropy endeavors, and in the many ways he help the citizens of Gloucester County and beyond.  His generous donations of funds to various foundations continues to help pave the way for many young people to achieve their dreams.  Mr. Cook supported our local Democratic Party for many years and made it possible for us to promote the many important values needed in the past and continue to be needed today.

GCDC’s Eldridge N. Cook Impact Scholarship is awarded to a Gloucester High School senior to enable the individual to pursue her/his academic or career goal.
